Eleanor R. (Mignone) Bibbo, 94,

Eleanor R. (Mignone) Bibbo, 94, of Milford, passed away February 17, 2017 in her home surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late John N. Bibbo, who passed away in 1995, and the mother of infant daughter Claudia who passed away in 1952.  She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette (Mazzone) Mignone, and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1940.

Eleanor is survived by son Paul Bibbo of Milford and New York, sister Gloria Gagnon of Hopedale, cousin John Mazzone of Dennis, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Mary Ciavattoni, Lucy Tocci, John Mignone, Anthony Mignone, Nina Barry and Lena Wyspianski.

Eleanor had been employed by the Massachusetts State Division of Employment Services. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member of the Sacred Heart Choir, and an active member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club where she organized many “mystery rides” with her best friend the late Clara Arminio. Eleanor was an avid bowler, and she enjoyed playing cards and mahjong.

In her younger years she enjoyed singing with her sisters at many family functions and local events. A sociable and well-liked person, kind, loving and compassionate, she will be greatly missed by friends and family.  

The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 - 7 P.M.

Hey Paul, An era has gone by with the sisters gone and their " co~ conspirator" Clara!! I know they are all having coffee and pastry up there now entertaining the saints!!
