We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dedicated team member, colleague, and friend. Joe has been a blessing to our team both in his own service as a volunteer and in the sharing of his wife, Dee, our Board member, friend and gifted volunteer. One of our most memorable duties shared with Joe was at our annual Tags for Tails sale a few years ago when hurricane winds and rain passed through our area during our fund-raiser. While we are disaster workers, we didn't expect to be using our skills at a yard sale. Joe, Dee, my husband and other volunteers were having to hang onto the canopies as if sailing. It was a memorable day working as a team followed by dripping clothes and lots of laughs. Joe, we miss you.
