Othello F. “Red” Biagetti, 91

Othello F. “Red” Biagetti, of Milford. Red went to be with the Lord and passed away surrounded by his family, Sunday, December 27, 2015. He was born on June 19, 1924 and was 91 years old. He was the son of the late Augusto and Ermalinda (Zachilli) Biagetti. He was a loving husband of the late Lydia (Rovedo) Biagetti who passed away in 1980.            
 Red was employed with Cottage Tailors of Worcester until his retirement in 1990. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II and flew 25 missions as a gunner on a B-24 Liberator.
Red was a member of the Milford Italian Veterans, Milford Marchegiano Club and a member of the Plains Association.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Red’s greatest joy was to be with family and friends and he will be much missed for his friendly ways. Red’s favorite words were to say “I love you” to his family, relatives and friends on a daily basis. He lived for the last six months at the Cornerstone Assisted Living Center in Milford where he was known as the “Mayor” and was a regular at all social gatherings.
 He leaves his children, Richard O. Biagetti and his wife Susan of Milford, Robert A. Biagetti and his wife Sandra of Hopedale, Sharon Leavitt and her husband Gary of Milford, five grandchildren, Christian, Erica, Jill, Ralph and Kim, six great-grandchildren, Lola, Lydia, Mike, Christian, Sophia and Matt, one brother Angelo, two sisters Ada and Doris, a dear friend Marge Feccia, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
 He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Justina Biagetti and Timothy Biagetti and one brother Barney Biagetti.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 9 A.M from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water Street Milford, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 A. M at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. The burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. in Milford. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
