Maria G. (Correia) Machado, 85, of Milford, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Countryside Healthcare in Milford. She was the wife of the late Adao A. Machado, who passed away in 2011. She was born in Mangualde, Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio and Ana (Filipe) Correia and moved to Milford in 1969.
Mrs. Machado retired in 1995 from the former Data General Corp. where she was employed as an assembler. She was a member of the Milford Portuguese Club and a communicant of the St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
She is survived by two sons Amilcar and his wife Sharon Machado of Mendon, Adam Machado of Milford, one daughter Ana and her husband Neil Sheehan of Milford, one nephew Alberto Correia and his wife Sharon of Milford, six grandchildren, Michael Machado, Lee Machado, C.J. Sheehan, Juliana Sheehan, Caitlin Sheehan and Adam Machado, one great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Alberto Correia and Manuel Correia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 10 A.M. in the St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St. The burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning before the funeral mass, from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St.
