Maria C. Cosquete, 88,

Maria C. Cosquete, 88, of Milford, passed away October 6, 2015 at the Milford Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joaquim Lopes who passed away in 1986. She was born in Cervos, Portugal, daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (DaCruz) Cosquete and came to Milford in 1987.
She is survived by her daughter Maria (Lopes) Dafonte and her husband Jose Dafonte of Milford, one brother Jose Cosquete of Portugal, five grandchildren, Priscilla Lopes, Michelle Lopes and Derrick Lopes all of New Bedford, Liliana (Dafonte) Raposo and Manny Dafonte both of Milford and one great-granddaughter Avah Lopes of New Bedford., many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Jose Lopes and her great-grandson Ellijah Lopes and two brothers Augusto Cosquete and Antonio Cosquete.
The funeral will be held Friday October 9, 2015 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
