For almost 30 years Jose Batista Jr. was my Father in Law. I do not think anyone could ask for a nicer Father in law. Pai was a very kind and compassionate man who cared deeply for those he loved. He was sensitive to my thoughts and concerns and called me Filha. He loved animals and growing bountiful harvests. We shared many wonderful moments together with his beloved wife Mai. Jose and my late father had a very special relationship. Pai would tell me that my father was the only man he would understand (my father did not speak Portuguese)..and they would spend hours talking together. Pai will always be remembered and I will miss him. He was a wonderful man and a wonderful Father in Law.
