Joao M. “John” Pires, 40

Joao M. “John” Pires, 40, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly, July 24, 2014 in the Mass General Hospital in Boston.
                He was born in Nogueira, Portugal, son of Joao A. Pires of Portugal, and the late Fatima (Cotas) Pires.
Johnny moved to Milford from Portugal at the age of 16. He worked as a mason for European Restorations in Milford for the last 7 years. A former member of the Portuguese Club in Milford, he was a hard worker, loved animals, always respectful and helpful, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
         In addition to his Father he is survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.
        The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 9 A.M from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 17 Winter Street, Milford. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
        Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.

john had a heart of gold...would give the shirt off his back for someone and would always be willing to help people out..the simplist things would make John happy...and what a hard working man he was..John was by my side when I needed someone and I will never forget that...I thought of John as a brother to me...He truly will be missed by many...R.I.P John (Jack) we love you buddy
