Robert J. Bega, 72,

Robert J. Bega, 72, of Milford, where he was a lifelong resident, died on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Janice G. (Liborio) Bega, whom passed in 1999.
   A U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam Veteran, Bob retired in 2000 after 22 years as a concrete pump operator with the former APPCO Corp. in Milford, and then went on to work for 3 years with Franny’s Landscaping. He was educated in the Milford Schools, was a member of the Plains Association, and the American Legion Post 59, as well as being and avid hunter and fisher. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
   He is survived by his children, Scott R. Bega and his wife Lisa of Webster, Kristen L. Cornell and her husband Jeffrey of No. Smithfield, RI, and Kimberly M. Naujoks-Leite and her husband Robert of Harwichport. Brother of Patricia Marcolini and Rosemary Bellacqua, both of Milford, he is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley and Matthew Bega, Brianna, Tyler, Jace, and Braelyn Cornell, and Ryan Naujoks.          
    Calling hours will be held at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm. 
   Funeral services will be held there on Wednesday, at 10 am.  The burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
