Bento A. Castro, 57,

Bento A. Castro, 57, of Milford, died Friday, January 20, 2012, in the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford. He was the wife of Virginia F. (Alves) Castro of 34 years. He was born in Portugal son of Maria (Alves) Castro of Milford and the late Bento Castro and moved to Milford in 1972. Mr. Castro was employed as a machinist at the Archer Rubber Company in Milford for over 30 years.   He was a member of the Milford Portuguese Club and a communicant of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church. 
           In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sons Bento and his wife Lindsay (Vail) Castro of Milford, Michael Castro of Milford, three brothers, Francisco Castro of Milford, Antonio Castro of Grafton and Domingos Castro of Milford. 
          He was predeceased by his brother Mario Castro.    
       The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 9 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter St. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
