Robert J. Danis, 86

Robert J. Danis, 86, of Milford MA, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in his home. He was the husband of Antoinette (Andreola) Danis of 52 years. He was born in Woonsocket RI, son of the late George Danis Sr. and Rose (Halon) Danis and lived in Woonsocket before moving to Milford MA in 1959. He was a graduate of the Woonsocket High school class of 1942. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. Mr. Danis retired in 1984 from the former General Motors Corp. in Framingham where he was employed as a foreman and also on the repair line.  He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Dramatic Club in Milford MA and Italian Workman’s Club in Woonsocket RI. 
          In addition to his wife she is survived by two brothers William J. Danis of Franklin, Edward Danis of Uxbridge, four sisters Helen DeForitis of Wrentham, Joan M. Joubert , Ann Marie Morin and Mary Jane St. Onge all of Woonsocket RI, many nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his brothers John Danis and George Danis Jr., two sisters Ruth Manocchio and Irene Ruhmann. 
          The funeral service will be held Monday, January 23, 2012 at 9 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA.  A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. Milford. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. in Milford Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M.
