Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home

Marilyn Gonzalez-Rosa, 57

Marilyn Gonzalez-Rosa, 57, of Milford, went peacefully with the Lord on the evening of Friday, January 28th, 2022, following a brief illness in Marlboro.

Loving wife and best friend of Santiago Rosa, Marilyn was a devoted mother to Solines Campbell and her husband Jacob of Milford, Petty Officer 3rd Class Erick Mogollon of Franklin, Petty Officer 2nd Class Elias Mogollon of Brockton, and Marilyn McCutchen, and her husband Jason of Milford.

She was incredibly adored by her grandchildren Declan, Liam, and Mireya Campbell and Ellie McCutchen. Deeply proud of her role as a grandmother, she found great joy in spending time with them. Through stories from her family, Marilyn’s memory will be honored and cherished by this young generation for years to come.

She was the 3rd of 8 children to the late, honorable Reverend Jesus Gonzalez and his wonderful wife Digna Negron. Marilyn loved her parents immensely.

Marilyn was a loving, supportive presence for her brothers Jessie, Orlando, Eliezer, Steven, Herson and the late Benjamin Gonzalez. There was a beautiful, indestructible bond shared with her beloved younger sister, Sorines Lopez.

Marilyn was a strong, respected presence in Marlboro and her hometown of Milford, Massachusetts. Along with her loving husband, they were heavily involved in an underserved Portuguese and Spanish speaking community to break down language barriers and support families in need. They spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through their church, and business. Marilyn and her husband were a tremendous and adventurous team, with a generous love that was beautiful.

Marilyn was a dear cousin to many. She was a lovable aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews. She was a sweet and dear friend to countless people. When Marilyn loved, you felt it deeply.

A true leader in her community, she made a difference in people’s lives just by being there for them. Her outstanding legacy will live on with her ministry, by her accomplishments and charity work, in her children and through her precious grandchildren.

Visiting hours at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, will be held on Friday evening from 5-8PM. Burial will be private.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2PM at the Bethany Community Church, 15 Cape Rd., Mendon.

In lieu of flowers please make any monetary donations to a charity near to your heart in Marilyn's name"

"Welcome my daughter, job well done." I imagine these may have been the first words Marilyn heard as she entered into her eternal rest. What a special person Marilyn was. It was easy to see the love of Christ in her life and to say she will be missed would be a tremendous understatement. I'm blessed to have had the privilege of knowing her. My prayers of comfort to her entire family.

Marilyn was a shining pillar of this community. Her reach was far and all encompassing. Her departure from this material world is an immense loss. Her kindness knew no limits and she was a fearless advocate for the underserved members of our community. May she rest in peace and may peace come to quiet the ache of the hearts of all those who loved her. It was my pleasure to know her and work with her. Marilyn was an inspiration and her work will continue to inspire.
