Patricia L. Riskall (Clark),

Patricia L. Riskall (Clark), of Hopedale, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, surrounded by her devoted husband, George, and her loving family.Patty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who dedicated many years of her life to helping others and her faith.

She was born on October 31, 1943 in Framingham, MA to parents Elizabeth and Martin Clark. As a girl, Patty grew up in Milford, MA with a large, loving family surrounded by her adored siblings, Marty, Betty, Nancy, Mary, Kevin and Brian.

At just 19 years old, she met the love of her life, George Riskall. They lived together practically inseparable for almost 60 years and recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. Their journey started off together in Kittery, Maine, but not long after brought them back to Massachusetts to be closer to family where together they raised their two daughters in Hopedale. Through their childhood, she was actively involved in the community and served as the head of the town’s Campfire Girls division and President of the Friends of Music program.

Through the years she worked several jobs  including Hills Food, Sears Catalog and TriValley Elder Services, but by far, her favorite and most fulfilling was that of watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When her first grandchild was born, she left her job at just 40 years old to care for her, and has many a time reminisced that she never regretted that decision a day in her life.

Family was the pivotal essence of Patty’s life. She was proud and honored to be the matriarch to our large family. She has been a major presence in the lives of her siblings, children, grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended friends and family - all whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace and undying love and caring for them.

She was a good friend to all and a true light in our lives.  A woman who always put the needs of her loved ones above her own without hesitation. She was known to often strike up conversation with a stranger and come out with a new friend. Patty was a kind hearted soul and a perfect example of a life well lived.

She is preceded in death by parents, Martin Clark and Elizabeth (Wonderly) Clark; her daughter, Susan (Riskall) Beckvold and husband Keith; her granddaughter, Jessica Reis; her brother, Martin Clark, Jr. Patty is survived by her loving husband, George Riskall, her daughter, Jo-Ann (Riskall) Reis, granddaughters Trish (Reis) Tarczuk and husband Adam, Diana Beckvold, Kayla Beckvold and Juliette Reis, and her three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua and Lyla Tarczuk.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, MA on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale, MA on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM.

The family would like to send their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate dialysis staff of Fresenius Kidney Care Blackstone Valley who took great care of her and gave her the strength, positivity and hope to keep thriving over the last five years of her life. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patty’s memory may be made to the American Kidney Foundation (kidneyfund.org).

Growing up it was a well known fact that my Mom’s favorite people in the world were her kind, loving cousins from Milford and Hopkinton. Cousin Patty was always so kind to drop a note to my Mom over the years or phone call. I myself remember as a child always feeling nothing but pure kindness from cousin Patty. Memories of being at Aunt Betty’s home and cousin Patty bringing her daughters over to play was the big highlight for me. I’ll never forget how sweet, kind and maternal cousin Patty treated me. My heartfelt sympathy to the whole family, I’m so, so sorry.

Dear Family, Aunt Patty as I knew her will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Knowing when someone is going to pass does not make it any easier when it happens. I know Aunt Patty had been struggling for quite some time, and I know how very difficult this time must be for you now. If I could soothe your pain with words of comfort and love, I would say, Aunt Patty is no longer in pain. She is at rest and at peace. She is perfect in every way in the God's embrace. May all your fond memories help to heal with your loss. Dave & Sally Glenn
