Patricia M. (Powers) Guerra, 71, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020.  She is the best friend and beloved wife of Michael Guerra, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.  Born August 6, 1948 in Milford, she is the daughter of the late Rose M. Powers.  She is survived by her loved ones: Children, Corey Guerra and his wife, Sara of Whitinsville, MA, Kristie Joannides and her husband Joe of Newark, DE; Brother, Robert Powers and his wife, Linda, Sister, Kathy Locke and her husband Bob; Grandchildren, Micaela, Gianna, Luke (Guerra) Jack and Alexis (Joannides); Nieces and Nephews, Tracy, Gina, Jamie, Brian, Alex and Kevin; and far too many close cousins and friends to name.      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Patti to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjudes.org/donate.

Mike, Corey, Kristie & family; my sincere condolences for your unbelievable loss. Patti was such a true friend to my family for almost 60 years. She shared so many gatherings, skiing, biking, Hampton, Cape Cod, and other good times with us. She was part of the essence of Milford and a true daughter of Rosie. Her pride in all of her close relatives (and certain Boston athletes) was unquestioned. Her joy, her rules, her style, and her caring will be missed. We were all so blessed to have had her spend time with us.

Dear Mike, Corey, Kristie and family: My Mum, Elaine Moore, worked at Mass Electric with Patti and thought the world of her. As a young girl I remember when Patti met Mike and my Mum like him right away, and was thrilled that you got married. I remember Patti’s great sense of humor and beautiful smile. Patti wasn't only my aunt, she was also my friend. She was always there for me, whenever I needed someone. I respected her, and admired her, and I could only hope to be half the woman she was. Im thankful I have so many great memories of time spent with her, my uncle and my cousins. From days on the lake, to summers at Hampton Beach. The world and our family lost a remarkable woman. RIP Aunt Patti, you are going to be greatly missed.

I am so sad about Patti’s passing. I have so many memories of her from my childhood and then again from our time working at Milford High School. Patti was always a good friend and always was able to share a smile or a laugh. From our lunch dates in the House A office to the Christmas parties, the swim meets and dance recitals, I will always remember her. To Mike, Corey, Kristie, Rob and Kathy, my heart is broken for you. My prayers are with you all. Fly with the angels, my friend. 💕

To the Guerra children. I have known your mom and dad for many years. I worked with your dad in the same department and became friends with your mom when she worked there.I retired from there after 37 1/2 years and I can honestly say they were two of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure to know I am so sorry for the loss of your mom.You two take care of your dad. He is special.

Old friend, there are so many memories that make me smile... those House A days, the epic lunches ( you DID ruin tuna fish for me!) , casino trips with Mary Smith on the bus, the Christmas parties, the girl chats. You were there with me when my one and only pregnancy was confirmed. You hosted my newborn’s first sleep over so *I* could sleep. We screamed together at the OJ verdict. You were a confidant for many years, devoted to your family, sharing your friendship with so many lucky ones, including me. Your smile, your laughter, your warmth... will never be forgotten. Rest easy.
