Bob was an avid sportsman and loved fishing, skiing and golfing. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. However, the title he was most proud of was “Papa Bobcat” to his 4-month-old grandson Sayer. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Sandra (Petti) Funk; stepdaughter Leah Steeves, son-in-law Ian Sheffield and grandson Sayer Rone Sheffield; sister Constance Funk Mayfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law Anthony and Theresa (Tomaso) Petti; sisters-in-law Teresa Petti; Maryellen and her husband Ronnie Mellen and Laurie Petti; nieces Jade Loop and her husband Tomer DeVito; Sesha Loop and Brianna Arcudi; nephews Anthony Arcudi, Michael Petti and Jordan Petti; great-niece and nephews Olivia, Tyler and Sage DeVito; many cousins and an abundance of loving friends.  He was pre-deceased by his parents Robert and Ruth (Goodman) Funk; brothers-in-law Darryl “Skip” Mayfield and Anthony “Tony” Petti, Jr. Bob will forever be remembered for his quick wit and playful personality. To the people who knew him best, he will be remembered for simply “being Bob.” He will be missed tremendously.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale St., Hopedale, MA.  The burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Rd., Milford, MA.  Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home located at 46 Water Street, Milford, MA. Robert, missing you♥️….San

To Robert's family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. It's so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. Job 14:14,15 gives us confidence that Jehovah God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort and strength, remembering that soon God will wipe away our tears and swallow up death forever. (Isaiah 25:8)

Dearest Sandra, Words cannot express what I want to say right now. I weep with you in your sorrow, and pray that you will find comfort from your family, friends, and in the one who holds all our lives in His hands. Unfortunately, we've been separated by many miles, but that in no way diminishes the bond of friendship that Richard and I have shared with the two of you over the years. I treasure every moment that we've spent together. You are in my heart forever. Patty and Richard Foncault

I am so sorry for your loss. I was saddened to hear that Bob passed away. I wanted to share a scripture that has brought me comfort and hope in my loss as well. I hope you are comforted too. Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This beautiful promise from God will soon be a reality. No more sorrow or pain or death. With my deepest sympathy!
