Barbara A. (DiVittorio) Morganelli,92,

Barbara A. (DiVittorio) Morganelli,92,

Barbara A. (DiVittorio) Morganelli, a lifelong Milford, MA resident, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home in Cornerstone of Milford, at the age of 92.  She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Peter J. Morganelli.  Barbara was born in Milford Hospital on August 26, 1933.  She was the daughter of L. Gene DiVittorio and Eva (Parmenter) DiVittorio.  Barbara was a graduate of Milford High School (class of 1951), and a graduate of Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston.  She was working as a dental hygienist when a handsome medical student came in to have his teeth cleaned.  They hit it off right away, and after marrying in 1956 she lived for a year in Bologna, Italy, while her husband completed medical school.  She enjoyed wandering in and out of the small shops and learned to cook several dishes of northern Italian cuisine.  Her bolognese lasagna became legendary!  Barbara worked tirelessly at home raising five children and running the household.  As her children were nearing college age, she returned to the workforce and was employed as a dental hygienist at the offices of Dr. Carl DiGregorio and Dr. David Goodman for many years.  She then changed careers, where her love of people and houses led to great success for over 30 years as a realtor in the Milford area.

Barbara was an active member of the Milford Citizen Group and was proud of her work to prevent the construction of a casino and to support many positive improvements for Milford.  Barbara had many interests. She loved bowling, knitting, and gardening, but her greatest joy was basking in the warmth of family gatherings, especially Sunday dinners with as many children and grandchildren as could attend.

She is survived by four children: Peter M. Morganelli and his wife Karen, of Gorham, Maine, Paul L. Morganelli and his wife Brett of Upton, Mark J. Morganelli and his wife Julia of Milford, Carla Mullen and her husband John of Mashpee, her daughter-in-law Janet Morganelli of Milford, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her son David in 2014.
