I am so sorry for the loss of Leo. I have worked with Leo for many years. We were looking at pictures today of Halloween, weddings and work parties and just laughing, he always made everything fun. His wit, humor, huge heart and kind words will be missed by all.
I am sure you are in Heaven with the angels dancing and singing .. and just being you.

We can't begin to express our feeling of sorrow at this time. Our hearts are with you all. Loe's love for life was quite evident and his affection for family & friends was obvious. The world is a bit dimmer now.
Love,

I had the honor of knowing Leo when I worked at VP-92 in Brunswick, Maine. He was a Reservist in the Material Control work center, and was always smiling. He was the nicest gentleman in the world, very educated, and extremely well-liked by everyone who knew him. Fair Winds and Following Seas to a good squadron mate...

I can still hear him singing in his cube, all day, everyday :) I have nothing but great memories from Leo. He always knew how to turn a frown upside down. Such a genuine, kind, loving soul. He is beyond loved and will be missed ;( forever in my heart, God bless you Leo.

Our sincerest condolences to Leo's family from all of us at Navy Operations Support Center Manchester and VTU-0109G. He was attached to my unit this past Fall, and although I hadn't known him that long, I found him to be an intelligent and affable sailor and committed to serving his country. God be with him as he now stands the eternal watch...

Leo, you were a light in this world and heaven has truly gained an angel. I will never forget how you captivated the room with your stories of days gone by after my father passed, bringing light to a gloomy day. You lived your life with grace and a smile and you will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you.

Leo was my only "little cousin". I still recall the joy when he would visit us in Toronto, Canada. I was proud of his accomplishments and successes. I was even more proud of how he cherished family, his concern for everyone, his whit,
and his love of life.
My condolences to Julie and Leo's family.
I loved him dearly and know that he will have eternal rest and peace in Heaven.
God bless you Leo until we meet again.

So many thoughts and memories come to mind as I type this. I still can't believe my dear friend is gone. Like many have said..gone to soon...and knowing Leo, he would want us to celebrate his life...I enjoyed every drill weekend that he came to work. He always had stories to tell and kept us laughing. Even all these years later, he still had that great sense of life and humor. I miss you dearly my friend. Rest easy now shipmate...we have the watch...

My thoughts and prayers go out to Leo's family, friends, and co-workers. Leo always had a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor. It was a pleasure working with Leo for the past five years. He made a ever lasting impression on my son PJ and he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Leo. You will be greatly missed by all.

I was more than saddened to hear the news. I left UMass a few years ago, but thought of Leo all the time. He was the kind of person you could never forget, and every thought of him put a smile on my face. He welcomed me to my new job when I started, and was a friend every day after that. I remember him most rolling on the floor, laughing about my recounts of “All My Children” episodes from the past. He will stay with me always. I’m sending my thoughts to Julie, Liz and his much loved nieces and their spouses and children. He spoke of you all always, every day.

Dear Julie, It has saddened us to think of the loss of your Leo. We didn't know him very well since we live so far apart. When you visited here we got to know Leo as a fun loving, gentle person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you - it is a terrible loss for you. We love you and hope you can get through these early days of grieving as best as you can, Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Peter.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family members of this man. On top of being a shipmate in VP-92, he was just all around what we southerners refer to as "good people". He was a genuinely great guy who will will be truly missed. He definitely left his mark on this earth and everybody who had the pleasure of knowing him, including and especially me. May he rest in peace and my prayers are with the family.

Leo was one of those rare individuals life gives you only once in a great while. Someone who lifted you up when you were down & made you laugh when you needed it. When you meet someone like that, keep them near. I'm very saddened by his passing and my biggest regret is I wish I stayed in touch with him more.

Our sincerest condolences to LS2 Leo Villani's family and friends from all his shipmates at Navy Operations Support Center Manchester/VTU-0109G. Petty Officer Villani came into the VTU last fall and quickly let it be know how much he wanted to do his part in supporting the NOSC and the unit. I hadn't know him long, but I knew that he was sincere in his desire to serve his country and the Navy. All those shipmates who served with Leo will remember many a good story and share a good laugh of time spent together. God has called him for duty to stand the eternal watch...

Leo was a salt-of-the earth guy. His gerousity, sense of humor, worldliness and strength of character made him a giant amongst men in a sincere and humble body. All those who knew were made better by his presence. He will be sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family...and may we all honor his memory by living by the examples he set.

I have known Leo for the last eight years that I have worked at UMASS. He was always kind, protective, and loving towards others. I often heard stories about his kindness for animals. He was someone who put forth a lot of energy and love for people around him. I will miss him very much.
However, I do feel confident that he will not only be at peace in the spiritual world, but also will do more good for those he has left behind.

Memories of my cousin Leo keep flashing through my mind; when we were kids playing in the streets of Milford. He remained in Milford, I went on to Los Angeles. As adults, I came to Milford only once, but we spent everyday together with lots of laughs. A very special memory that will always stay fresh in my mind.
